Bio

Terry began his career in education, initially as a primary school teacher and then finishing as a Deputy Principal, in a variety of NSW state schools after completing a Diploma of Teaching at Nepean CAE now the University of Western Sydney.


He left teaching after 15 years to travel overseas and in 1988 he was offered a position in Scotland as student adviser and course facilitator in Life Skills and Life Direction at an adult international college near Inverness. He continued in this role for almost 8 years living and working in Scotland. He did spend some time back in Australia and was employed at Moreton Institute of TAFE as International Student Adviser for 3 years.


More recently he has worked for Volunteering Queensland to coordinate the training of volunteer facilitators who are delivering short programs to students at Southbank TAFE as part of their longer Certificate courses. He was also assisting Volunteering Queensland to develop education modules in the areas of communication, customer service and team work.


He is a trained Life Coach and has a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment. He joined LCIA in September 2004 and is currently working in the education office as a Coaching Adviser.


His passion is assisting those who choose to set goals for themselves and he is aware, through personal experience of the power in and the results of setting goals. His other passion is radio and he presents two radio shows each week on a large community radio station based in Logan City. He also enjoys golf, walking and reading.
